The CITADEL R2 is a sleek, minimal, waterproof backpack designed for better experiences in Commuting, Travel and Everyday Carry.
Like all Black Ember products the CITADEL R2 benefits from our high-precision proprietary construction. All textile components, including our waterproof, 3-layer, 800D Microhex textile are laser-cut for precise assembly. This construction yields a super-durable, over-engineered pack with a blacked-out, minimal and stealthy aesthetic. YKK Aquaguard zippers and bonded seam construction give the CITADEL R2 its IPX6 Waterproof rating (1200 PSI water-jet tested).
The CItadel’s 3D shoulder-straps, are ergonomically designed for optimized comfort and load carry. Two layers of the same EVA-Foam found in the best running shoes make for an especially comfortable and supportive fit. A removable Maglock sternum strap is included. The Citadel’s Body contoured back panel is a composite construction that maintains a shape that hugs your back, while an airflow back-panel keeps you cool and dry in the summer heat.
The Citadel is a clamshell style pack. That means it unzips 360 degrees, so you can see all your gear laid out and well organized right in front of you. The top-loader zipper, allows you to quickly access your laptop and other essentials, from the outside of the pack. The internal Compression Divider, helps compress gear like clothing in your pack, and also includes a built in tablet sleeve.
Designed with logical gear access in mind, the Citadel has all the organization needed for tech-centric lifestyles. External fast access for essentials like: Keys, wallet and phone, soft and protective pockets for Laptops and tablets, generous easy access pockets, and hidden zipper pockets for secure items.
A modular DSLR pack can be used with the Citadel, or used independently as a shoulder bag (sold separately).
The CITADEL R2 includes one modular HANDLE, one MAGNETIC KEY RING and one removable STERNUM STRAP. SHORT COMPRESSION STRAPS + UTILITY STRAPS sold separately.
